This easy beef and broccoli recipe combines tender beef strips, crisp broccoli, and a flavorful savory sauce. Perfect for a healthy, quick dinner that’s sure to please the whole family.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, beef broth, and sugar. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef slices and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, marinate the beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Adjust broccoli's cooking time for desired crispness.
  • Substitute chicken or tofu for a variation of the dish.
