This hearty Beef Noodle Casserole combines tender egg noodles, seasoned ground beef, rich tomato and cream of mushroom sauces, and melted cheddar cheese for a comforting, family-friendly dinner. Perfect for weeknights!

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until softened.
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream.
  • Add the cooked egg noodles and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, stirring to combine.
  • Transfer to a greased casserole dish, top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • For added flavor, top with crispy fried onions before baking.
  • To save time, use pre-shredded cheese.
