This Black Pepper Chicken recipe combines juicy chicken with freshly cracked black pepper and aromatic spices for a savory, restaurant-style dish.

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1-inch ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and onion. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Toss in bell pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan, add black pepper, and sesame oil. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

  • Adjust the quantity of black pepper to suit your spice tolerance.
  • For extra heat, add sliced green chilies.
