  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream or whole milk
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
