  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  • Layer half the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the baking dish. Top with half the cooked ground beef and diced onion.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ground beef, and onion.
  • Pour milk evenly over the layers. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
