Meatloaf Base: 1 ½ pounds ground beef (or ground turkey) 1 cup breadcrumbs 1 egg 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced ¼ cup milk 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Toppings: 3 cups mashed potatoes 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled 2 tablespoons sour cream (optional) 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
While the meatloaf base bakes, prepare mashed potatoes with butter and sour cream.
Spread the mashed potatoes over the baked meatloaf base. Sprinkle with cheese and crumbled bacon.
Return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
