Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup red and green Christmas M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the M&Ms and chocolate chips, if using.
  • Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Serve and enjoy your festive cookies!

Notes

  • Use mini M&Ms for a more festive look.
