  • 12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Lower heat, add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the sauce, tossing to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sauce consistency with pasta water.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
