  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season chicken and shrimp with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning.
  • Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side; remove and set aside.
  • Add garlic, bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes to the pan; sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, paprika, red pepper flakes, and remaining Cajun seasoning. Stir and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return chicken and shrimp to the pan, stirring to coat in the sauce.
  • Add cooked pasta and toss until well combined.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or reducing Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes.
  • Use any pasta type, but fettuccine or penne work best.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
