Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 2 salmon fillets (skinless, boneless)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook salmon for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and flake into pieces.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the sauce. Mix well to coat.
  • Gently fold in flaked salmon, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Adjust seasoning as needed.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use smoked salmon for a different flavor variation.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter option.

  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
