Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in sour cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Return the cooked beef to the skillet.
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then combine with the stroganoff sauce.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, you can use heavy cream in addition to sour cream.
  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce for a deeper flavor.
