Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 cup onion, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (with or without garlic)
1 can (10.7 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
½ cup milk
2 cups shredded cheese
Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper.
Layer the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish.
Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, evaporated milk, and milk. Pour evenly over the beef and potatoes.
Top with shredded cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use soups with garlic added.
Use your favorite cheese blend for variation.
Ensure potatoes are sliced thinly for even cooking.
