These easy sausage breakfast muffins are a delicious, protein-packed way to start your morning. Made with eggs, cheese, and flavorful sausage, they’re perfect for meal prep or a grab-and-go breakfast. Soft, fluffy, and satisfying, these muffins are a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs

 

  • ¼ cup melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
  • Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir in shredded cheese and cooked sausage.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  • Divide the batter evenly into muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

 

  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

  • For extra flavor, add chopped onions or bell peppers.
