Garlic Butter Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich, buttery garlic sauce. Ideal for quick weeknight dinners, this recipe requires minimal ingredients and delivers maximum flavor. Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over it. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice or sprinkle some Parmesan cheese over the chicken before serving.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a side salad.
