  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti (optional)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions if using. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Pour in white wine (or broth) and lemon juice, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in remaining butter, then return shrimp to the pan. Toss to coat.
  • Add pasta (if using) and parsley, toss to combine.
  • Serve immediately with Parmesan and extra lemon wedges.
