Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).

  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to ¼ inch thickness and cut with heart-shaped cookie cutters.
  7. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
