This Marry Me Shrimp Pasta recipe is a rich, creamy, and irresistible dish featuring juicy shrimp, parmesan, and sun-dried tomatoes for a memorable meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until combined and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet, then add cooked pasta. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired sauce consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp (thawed) for the best results.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Adjust spice levels by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
