Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage with garlic until browned. Drain excess grease and stir in marinara sauce.
  • In a large bowl, mix ricotta, sour cream, cream cheese, half the Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
  • Layer the dish: spread half the pasta, then half the cheese mixture, then half the meat sauce. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.
