  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually add flour, alternating with milk and heavy cream, beginning and ending with flour.
  • Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

 

  • Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
