  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  • Add ground turkey or beef, cook until browned.
  • Stir in pumpkin puree, diced tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, and broth.
  • Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.
