Pumpkin Lush is a decadent dessert that combines a buttery crust with layers of creamy pumpkin, spiced cream cheese, and fluffy whipped topping. This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for fall gatherings and will be a hit at your next holiday table.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
  • Additional whipped topping and pecans for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, melted butter, and pecans to form a crust. Press into a 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool.
  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over the cooled crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, pudding mix, milk, and pumpkin pie spice. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
  • Top with whipped topping. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Garnish with additional whipped topping and pecans if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a nut-free version, omit the pecans.
  • The dessert can be made a day ahead, making it perfect for holiday preparation.
